Crescent RendR No Show Thru Lay Flat Sketchbook

As other reviewers mentioned this sketchbook does NOT lay flat, that said, this paper is great for markers. I’ve had not issues when blending which was my main concern. This paper is nice and substantial and likely as a result a bit “thirstier” than your super thin magazine page style marker papers, so a juicier marker works best. If you have a marker that is on its last legs or just not very wet at the nib it will go on streaky on this. The pages are an off-white but in a cool gray tone, colors still pop quite nicely on it and I find that it not being brilliant white is easier on my tired eyes. The cover is flexible so you can bend and dogear the books corners if not careful. The cover material wipes clean fairly easily, I set mine down on a sticky cafe counter and was able to clean it without incident. I liked it so much I got two of them, it’s everything I’ve been looking for in a sketchbook.

This paper is the best paper I’ve ever seen when it comes to page protection, it never bleeds to the other side when using alcohol markers!
The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is cause it’s advertised as flat lay but I couldn’t get it to lay flat anywhere except towards the middle of the book.
Other than that, it’s some of my favorite paper to use!💕
