We love a sturdy, well-rounded pencil! Made by family-owned General Pencil Company in Jersey City, New Jersey, the Draughting (pronounced “drafting”) Pencil can be used for pretty much everything. It has a thick core and is made with genuine Incense Cedar wood, which ensures smooth sharpening and performance. The soft graphite delivers super dark marks, so you’ll achieve beautiful dark-to-light gradations on any bright surface.

GENERAL DRAUGTING PENCIL

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the GENERAL DRAUGHTING Pencil. It is my GO TO FAVE for general sketching. I just ordered 6 more to keep me in the flow.

This pencil, paired with a good sharpener (I prefer the Faber Castel) and a Strathmore Multi Media pad makes my day. I will fill the pages with drawings and design motifs. Sharpening often is necessary and my Faber Castle sharpener keeps my General on point. Additionally, it makes a nice pencil holder when my pencil is not in use - thus keeping it from rolling off the table. LOL.
