Kuretake-ZIG Fude Pen Nihon-date Kabura No. 55

$7.00

Although traditionally used for Japanese calligraphy, fude (brush) pens are great tools for all artists. The Fude Pen Nihon-date Kabura No. 55 is a double-ended pen with a firm, fine point on one end and a rubber brush tip on the other. The soft brush tip is extremely flexible, making it easy to create thick or thin strokes, while the fine tip is stiffer, allowing for greater control. Filled with water-based dye ink, this pen is water-soluble and perfect for creating wash effects.

Five stars

I am loving this pen, although there has been a learning curve. It feels good in my hand, and the brush strokes come out lovely. The smaller tip also works well for drawing and enhancing the brush strokes. This is not a cheap supply, but I plan to always have one!
