Plumchester Square Sketchbook

I wanted to try a square sketchbook again but it was important that the paper was archival ( which the illo paper is not). I decided to try this one and so far I'm liking it. I already knew that markers would bleed through, which was fine by me since I tend to cut out marker or mixed media paper and stick it to the other side, that isn't a problem for me.
If you're looking for paper to handle watercolor or even light washes, this isn't for you. It doesn't handle wet media well, I've even tested my tombow markers and tried doing a light wash. However if you don't mind the bleed through of markers, want to just use pen/pencil, maybe gouache, this works. Again, I've gotten into the habit of sticking marker paper or mixed media paper into sketchbooks that don't do well with one or the other. Hope this helps!

Sometimes a new sketchbook inspires and in this case, it 300% does! I adore this new book so much. It's purple color is lovely and it's sturdy, with good paper quality.

Originally I bought the smaller version of this, but I'm back for the larger size. I really like the paper, it's on the thicker side and has a VERY slight tooth making it very versatile.

The cover is a great surface to paint/put stickers on, great for personalizing your sketchbook! Paper is a good quality, good for pencil and alcohol markers, NOT good for watercolors.

This sketchbook reminds me alot of the illo sketchbook. It's affordable and sturdy(that says alot because I'm hard on sketchbooks) the paper is nice and thick and smooth and takes the markers beautifully! I would definitely purchase this sketchbook again!
